Help shape the future of Fort Monroe

Fort Monroe is beginning a once-in-a-generation effort to guide how the landscape evolves over the next 25–50 years.

Whether you visit for the beach, to walk and bike, attend events, or simply enjoy the space, your perspective matters.

We’re hosting a series of listening sessions and an open house:

Listening Sessions
May 13 5 -6:30 pm  The Visitor Experience:  Memorable, Inclusive, and Accessible

May 13 7-8:30 pm  Storytelling:  History, Heritage,and Culture

May 14 5-6:30 pm Placemaking:  Making a Place, Creating an Experience

May 14 7-8:30 pm The Living Landscape:  Nature, Environment, and Ecology

Sessions will be held in the Fort Monroe Visitor Center Theatre on the second floor.  The sessions are open to the public.  Registration is encouraged.  Click here to sign up.

Open House
May 16, 2026 (10 AM – 1 PM)
Casemate Museum  The Open House is an informal opportunity to engage with project representatives, view project maps, share your thoughts, and offer input.
