This month in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month we are reading Where Are You From? by Yamile Saied Méndez, with illustrations by Jaime Kim. With themes of self-acceptance, identity, and home, this powerful, lyrical picture book will resonate with readers young and old, from all backgrounds and of all colors. We’re offering 2 sessions for this event–10 am to 11 am and 1 pm to 2 pm. This event is free and open to the public. No advance registration is required. This program is presented by the Hampton Public Library and the Fort Monroe Authority.
