Fort Monroe is a wonderful place to visit. If you are a history buff, nature lover or simply looking for a good meal, a day at Fort Monroe is unlike any other.
Fort Monroe has received several national designations to celebrate and protect this area’s important heritage. 
The Fort Monroe Authority (FMA) Board of Trustees will hold their annual retreat and meeting on April 17 and 18, 2024 here at Fort Monroe. The retreat will begin on Wednesday, April 18 at 3 PM at the Fort Monroe Visitor & Education Center located at 30 Ingalls Road. Day 1 of the retreat will feature a walking tour beginning at the Visitor Center and will highlight Point Comfort on the eve of the American Revolution. We expect the tour to last approximately 90 minutes. In the event of inclement weather on Wednesday, the presentation will be held inside the Visitor & Education Center.
