Fort Monroe is a wonderful place to visit. If you are a history buff, nature lover or simply looking for a good meal, a day at Fort Monroe is unlike any other.

BLM757 will host its 6th annual Juneteenth event at Fort Monroe. Starting at 11 am the public is invited to gather at the Bandstand in Continental Park. The program will open with prayers to our ancestors and words of reflection followed by an African drum performance.
At noon, there will be the annual ancestors walk along the boardwalk where there will be a series of educational signs highlighting the journey of our ancestors from 1619 to 1865. The program will close with a ceremonial dove release.
