Fort Monroe is a wonderful place to visit. If you are a history buff, nature lover or simply looking for a good meal, a day at Fort Monroe is unlike any other.
Day One of the Fort Monroe Board of Trustees Annual Retreat will begin at 2:30 pm at the Fort Monroe Visitor & Education Center. The board members will briefly gather at the Visitor & Education Center and from there, begin a walking/driving tour of Fort Monroe.
REGISTRATION TO ATTEND IS NOT REQUIRED, BUT IS REQUESTED BY THE FORT MONROE AUTHORITY.

As part of the annual Fort Monroe Authority Board of Trustees Public Meeting Retreat, Trustees will be attending a walking tour of specific Fort Monroe sites. The Meeting Tour will begin at the Visitor and Education Center located at 30 Ingalls Road, Fort Monroe VA, 23651. The tour will last approximately 3 hours and does require walking. All areas visited on the tour are handicapped accessible.
Some of the tour will require driving to various sites and attendees are invited to follow along to additional sites in their personal vehicles if space is not available on the provided shuttle.
This tour is an official public meeting of the Fort Monroe Authority Board of Trustees and questions and comments will be addressed as appropriate by Board Members or FMA Staff. Day 2 of the Board of Trustees Retreat will begin at 8:30 am on Thursday, April 21 at the Fort Monroe Theatre located at 41 Tidball Road.
