Considered to be the Godfather of PowWowStep, producer DJ Shub continues to pioneer a growing genre of electronic music. Born Dan General, DJ Shub began his career with the internationally-acclaimed “A Tribe Called Red”, performing on global stages and earning numerous esteemed music awards and recognitions. In the conversation with Shub is Dr. Chris Scales. Dr. Scales is a Professor of Ethnomusicology in the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities at Michigan State University where he is also affiliated with the American Indian and Indigenous Studies Program.
