Fort Monroe is a wonderful place to visit. If you are a history buff, nature lover or simply looking for a good meal, a day at Fort Monroe is unlike any other.
Fort Monroe has received several national designations to celebrate and protect this area’s important heritage. 
Join us March 25th from 11am-1pm in the Visitor and Education Center @ Fort Monroe for Rampart Readers, a children’s book club partnership between Fort Monroe Authority and Hampton Public Library. This month, we are reading The Hidden Rainbow by Christie Matheson, and talking about how bees bring our colorful gardens to life. After our book reading, create your own pollinator cup as a bee or butterfly to help create a rainbow garden of your own!
The book is rated by Scholastic for ages 4-8 but all are welcome! This event will run in tandem with our Nature Nurturers, which will begin at 1pm.
