Fort Monroe is a wonderful place to visit. If you are a history buff, nature lover or simply looking for a good meal, a day at Fort Monroe is unlike any other.
The Fort Monroe Authority, The Fort Monroe Foundation, Dominion Energy, Hampton Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc., Essential Family Services, and the William Tucker 1624 Society present Youth Black Culture Fest at Fort Monroe on Saturday, February 8, 2025!!!
During this celebration of Black History Month participants ages 5 to 17 years old will have the opportunity to rotate through a variety of cultural arts stations where they will participate in a variety of interactive activities and discover the origins of the African diaspora and how African American culture is expressed.
Interactive activities include: African Drumming, Dance, Archeology, Genealogy, Quilting, Social Justice discussions, Spoken Word and more!
The event is open from 11:00am to 5:00pm and each station lasts between 40 and 45 minutes. Participate in as many as you like throughout the day!
