Fort Monroe is a wonderful place to visit. If you are a history buff, nature lover or simply looking for a good meal, a day at Fort Monroe is unlike any other.
Come join Fort Monroe Authority and Hampton Public Library for Rampart Readers, our new children’s book club series!
Taking place on the last Saturday of August and September, families can enjoy a children’s book reading, mini lesson on Fort Monroe related to the book’s topic, and a fun themed craft. Readings and crafts will take place inside the Fort Monroe Visitor and Education Center. Our book for the August 27 program will be The Year We Learned to Fly by Jacqueline Woodson, followed by a butterfly craft. The Scholastic reading suggestion is ages 4-8, but all ages are welcome! Join us at the Visitor and Education Center @ Fort Monroe at 11am. The address is 30 Ingalls Road, Fort Monroe, VA 23651.
