Special Event: Rampart Readers/Children’s Book Club–Book of the Month is Amara and the Bats by Emma Reynolds

- Join us October 28th from 11am-1pm in the Visitor and Education Center @ Fort Monroe for Rampart Readers, a children’s book club partnership between Fort Monroe Authority and Hampton Public Library. This month, we are reading Amara and the Bats written and illustrated by Emma Reynolds, showcasing the power of determination and environmental activism in your own back yard through a little girl’s love of an unlikely nocturnal creature! After, spend some time with us to show off your love of these pollinators for a bat craft for National Bat Appreciation Week!
Fort Monroe has received several national designations to celebrate and protect this area’s important heritage.
