Fort Monroe has received several national designations to celebrate and protect this area’s important heritage. 
Join us May 27th at 11am on our Fort Monroe at Old Point Comfort Facebook page for a virtual Rampart Readers, a children’s book club partnership between Fort Monroe Authority and Hampton Public Library. This month, we are reading Rolling Thunder by Kate Messner and illustrated by Greg Ruth, to honor the sacrifices of American Veterans and their families in a poetic tribute done by a little boy and his grandfather’s motorcycle club. Stay tuned after the reading for a paper wreath craft to honor those fallen heroes and to keep their memories alive.
Our book this month is rated by Scholastic for ages 4-8, but all are welcome!
