Fort Monroe is a wonderful place to visit. If you are a history buff, nature lover or simply looking for a good meal, a day at Fort Monroe is unlike any other.
Fort Monroe has received several national designations to celebrate and protect this area’s important heritage. 
Day 1–April 19, 2023–The public is invited to join the Board of Trustees for a driving and walking tour of several project sites on Fort Monroe. The meeting and tour will begin at the Fort Monroe Visitor & Education Center located at 30 Ingalls Road at 2 pm. If seating is available on the shuttle busses, then the public may ride along. Otherwise, members of the public may follow the shuttle busses in their personal vehicles and there will be ample parking near each location.
