East Gate near Outlook Beach

Engineer Wharf, one of two public fishing piers at Fort Monroe is temporarily closed as we continue construction for the African Landing Memorial Plaza.  The closure is expected to last just a few weeks.  In the meantime, anglers are encouraged to use the Finger Pier, located at the southern most point of Fort Monroe and is adjacent to the Outlook Beach Parking Lot.  Additionally, Fenwick Road will remain closed to through traffic from the intersection of Fenwick and Ingalls Road to Battery Parrott and Battery Irwin.  Click here to see a map showing alternate routes to the Finger Pier and Outlook Beach.
