DESCRIPTION:On March 8 from 10 am to 4 pm we will host the NY 99th Volunteer Infantry\, Company D\, for a living history program commemorating the Battle of Hampton Roads\, which took place on March 9\, 1862\, in the waters of the Chesapeake within sight of Fort Monroe. Enjoy a chance to engage with living historians who portray a company of Union soldiers who were stationed at Fort Monroe at the time of the battle.  This event is free and registration is not required.
