Special Event: Mistletoe Tour–Holiday Homes Tour
20 Ingalls Rd
Fort Monroe, VA 23651
The holiday season is not far away, and neither is the popular Fort Monroe Mistletoe Homes Tour.
The event will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 11am to 5pm.
The Mistletoe Homes Tour will return this year with a walking tour of five historic Fort Monroe homes dressed up for the holidays. The 2018 tour has homes featured for the first time including “The Perry House.” This small gothic revival style home was built in 1889. Although he never lived in this home, it is named after a young soldier, E.A. Perry, who served at Fort Monroe from October 1828 until April 1829. You know him as Edgar Allen Poe.
All of the homes on this tour highlight a variety of architectural styles, as well as the personalities of the individual residents. The tour will also highlight some free open house locations and other places of interest including the Casemate Museum, the Fort Monroe YMCA and the Chapel of the Centurion.
Advanced sale tickets are available for $20 each plus processing fees. Tickets will be sold on site the day of the event for $25 each plus processing fees.
