Step aboard one of the re-created ships that brought America’s first permanent English colonists to Virginia in 1607. The Godspeed is one of the three ships that periodically sail from Jamestown Settlement and participate in commemorative and community events such as African Arrival Day here in Hampton. Costumed historical interpreters assist visitors in exploring the ship and learning about the 1607 voyage and 17th-century shipboard activities. Free admission.
